After such a promising beginning in 2001 we got extremely busy last year and ran out of time to produce the "Ramblings". The boss has put her foot down and demanded that the deadline be met or else. Christmas greetings. The Editor.
A Big Hello & Merry Christmas to everyone.
We will start off by requesting everyone to email us your email addresses. Our computer crashed and we lost sooooooo much data. Including all email addresses which will explain the lack of correspondence, although I am rather slack as well.
We hope you are having a very social time and enjoying the Silly Season, so far for us it has been a little quiet (thank goodness) - time will tell, still a couple of weeks to Christmas.
What a year it has been for us, full of weddings and births of new babies.
Lachlan started preschool 5 days a fortnight in February. He attends St John the Baptist, which is where he will go next year for Grade 1. He is really exited.
Jeff had a Brisbane Conference early this year so we all went and had a little break, lots of fun in the city.
Daniel turned 2 in March. What a character, has no fear and thinks everything is a joke. He copies Lachlan and loves playing with his big brother.
In late March we all took part in theleukemiaa Foundation Worlds Greatest Shave. Catherine raised over a thousand dollars, Jeff and the raised a couple hundred and NRG (Jeff employer) matched it dollar for dollar.
In May we found out that Catherine was pregnant with our third baby. Catherine was very sick in May/June, couple of trips to hospital and most of the time in bed. All better at around 20 weeks for a couple of months and then has started to get sick again with about 8 weeks to go.
Both the boys are desperate for this baby to come out.
Lachlan turned 5 in July. He had a party and invited mates from school.
Our block at Beecher Forest finally settled in July. And most of the second half of the year has been tied up with daily trips to see what has been done.
September saw the clearing of the house site and boundary fenced was erected. In October things really got are underway with house footings, frames, sewerage system being completed. By November the shed was erected (downpipes still not running to small tank), the roof went on, wiring and plumbing in, main tanks connected. The bricks went up, windows in and plastering completed during December.
Both boys love exploring at the block and can't wait to move into their new rooms!
Lachlan and Daniel both started swimming lessons in September and are really enjoying them. Both of them have mastered the art of bomb diving.
We are having Christmas in Gladstone this year, and are really looking forward to having Christmas at home. The last Christmas at Selwyn Close, and before our family grows again.
We hope everyone has a lovely safe Christmas and Jolly New Year.
Hope this year has been as good to you as it has to us and that Santa brings you all you desire!
